What quantity of 70 percent solution must be mixed with a 25 percent solution to produce 108 mL of a 50 % ?
solution?
i thought i would use the equation: (.70X) (.25y) = .50(108)
but im not coming up with the right answer
Your setup is correct.....
(.70X)(.25y)=.50(108)
.175x/.175=90/.175
x=514.286
