why there is a difference in circuit calculations using circuit laws & calculating practically in lab ?
using DMM(digital multimeter ) & other lab instruments
Circuit laws assume impossible things like infinite and zero resistances, instantaneous voltage transfer across wires, no interference, etc.
For example, math would tell you that you'd get an identical decay curve for a capacitor using 1uF cap and 10MOhm resistor as you would using a 1F cap and 10 ohm resistor. In reality, because the capacitor is so small in the first one and the resistor so large, it's likely that you would get a lot of interference from background noise.
Alternatively, the 10ohm resistor would be much more susceptible to wiring resistance error. The actual resistance might be +/- 1 ohm, which would be a significant difference.
