LED of high voltage!!?
if a LED 2volt can produce produce bright light why cant we go for LED's of 230 volts will tat not b powerful???
An LED has a certain voltage and current requirement. You can't just up the voltage without damage to the LED. Nor can you just build an LED that operates at a higher voltage. The junction voltage is part of the way the LED works. There are very bright LED's. A cutting laser LED is very bright and, of course, hot. It requires water cooling so it doesn't burn out. This is actually one of the bigger problems with an LED. It's so small that it's difficult to get enough cooling to it to dissipate the heat. An LED is typically 80% efficient but if you're putting out a lot of light that 20% can still be a lot of heat. Still, improvements are being made all the time in LED and other solid state performance.
