Preventing new spot formation Some basic precautions can easily take care of this. Apply a sun screen 15 minutes prior to going out in the sun. The sun screen should have a SPF of at least 15 and should be a broad spectrum one – having the ability to block UVA as well as UVB rays.

Wear sun glasses and a broad rimmed hat when going outdoors. This will protect your face from direct sunlight. Combine this with a balanced diet containing plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, and you can easily prevent age spots from appearing on your skin.

Removing existing spots You don’t need any fancy treatments for getting rid of age spots. Just apply a natural skin lightening cream, and the spots will fade away easily. Look for the following ingredients in a good cream:
