Can a bad fuel pressure sensor give a car bad gas mileage?
My 2004 Malibu Max could at times get 31mpg with the mean being 27mpg, but my 2007 Maliby Max has never gotten better than 27mpg and the mean is 22mpg. Tires are ok, motor has been checked by dealership, ect... Any other advice?
If it has a pressure sensor, I suppose it's possible. Other things to consider:
- Different engine size
- Different engine model/maker
- Computer program settings (there are after-market devices that can adjust the computer settings for more power or better fuel efficiency and most anywhere in between)
- Weight of car
