Fan Duty

Everytime my PC fan turns on, Call of Duty 4 lags?

When i'm playing Call of Duty 4 (multiplayer or not) and my PC fan turns on (or spins faster or whatever), the game lags alot - so much that i have to restart my PC to continue (or wait like 5 minutes). Why is this happening?

add more fans to your case you could also add a bigger power supply to help power them.clean out the case also it will get full of dust and pet hair which will cause it to heat up.turn off every program that you have running in the back ground that you dont need .like msn messenger or media player ,win amp.what ever else you have running this way your machine does not work as hard.i created an account on my pc for playing games very basic not many programs running
