2004 extreme blazer elecrical questions serous replys only please?
the lock switch on the doors have stoped working! they have also caused the rear hatch to not open. checked the fuse first. then i checked voltage at the back of both switches. thats good 14 volts. went to the junk yard grabed 2 switches swapped still they dont work. you can lock and unlock the side doors with the key. but the hatch has a pushbutton like the caddys its by the headunit. also when you take it out of park the doors lock. when you put it back in park they unlock. i bought one of those manuals from autozone i found the diagram for the locks. i found the relay for the hatch it ohmd out good. i just cant find the one for the door locks. is there something AM I MISSING HERE GUYS????????
yes the lock switch is the only one thats not working. and the ground is good. also is the hatch switch and the lock switch fused together?

GM has a PI for this concern, but not exactly. It has the 3 amp fuse under the hood labeled as "MIR/LKS" blowing. If it is blown the engineers have authorized the use of a 5 amp fuse.
Does only the lock feature not work with the switches?
I have seen broken wires at 2 places in the doors, at the connectors and at the passthrough for the body-door. Check those areas out, as there is a common link with the lock signal from the drivers door switch.
If you have more info, post it and I might be able to isolate some problem areas.
