Does any other country other than the US reward people for refusing to stop an illegal activity?
In the US, if a person is a drug addict and refuses to get help, they can get all types of goodies: "disability" checks (even though they are not disabled, they are getting high by choice) food stamps, free health care, free/very low-cost housing, and I am sure much more.
For countries where doing drugs (heroin, crack, etc) is illegal, do these law-breakers get rewarded for refusing to stop breaking the law?
d2squared4moi - in the state of NJ, they get "disability" checks. And the point is they get them even if they REFUSE to try to stop or get help fort he addiction. So we are supposed to "help" them by giving them no reason whatsoever to stop?
joseph.hussein.foust - this is not from watching Fox. From an article in a local newspaper about the needle exchange program (again, if they refuse to stop doing heroin they get free clean needles also) and it went on to describe the other benefits they are given.
Just look at how we reward illegal immigration, though.
At least addiction is a medical condition.
