Oscilloscope Usb

Does anyone know how to build an oscilloscope ?

Prefreably a cheap solution, which runs with a pc via USB or RS232.

The combination of the PICkit1 and PICtail signal analysis board would do the trick for low performance. PICkit1 is a low cost starter set to learn to use PIC microcontrollers and the signal analysis PICtail is a little project board that could act as your low cost oscilloscope. The PICkit1 connects to a PC using USB1 and is used to communicate with the PICtail (and used to program it).

I believe you can find enough documentation from microchip to build these from scratch if you want to.
