need to know if multimeter is safe to buy and how many multimeters should i have?
i was wondering if getting the cen-tech multimeter from Harbor Freight would be safe to get for a first multimeter? there was one at walmart that looked ok but i read about how it would short out and that it could only read amps for like 15 secs. i have the link below to help with the answer.
also how many multimeters should one have?

I don't know where you got the information about the Walmart one? Do you mean that someone wrote a review? I think Harbor Freight and Walmart sell pretty good stuff as far as meters, from what my friends and family tell me. At work and home, I only have Fluke, but I don't know your needs or budget. When I buy something like this, I do like to look at review and how many persons bought the item. If about 50 persons bought the item and it has pretty good reviews, then I think it's probably a good product.
Why would you need more than one multimeter?
